We are a network of early learning professionals, families, community organizers, coaches, and trainers from 22 different counties spanning the Front Range to Grand Junction to Montrose to Durango.  We are always growing, and want to be connected to every part of our state.

Heart Connections

Heart Connections has chosen to mimic family life by integrating children from infancy to elementary school age kids. This age integration creates a unique synergy for all the kids with the older ones learning compassion, helpfulness and leadership skills. Older kids are good at encouraging and teaching the younger ones, who benefit by learning skills at a faster rate.

We are a licensed micro-forest and nature school serving children ages 3-5 in Black Forest, CO. Our approach is not an unsupervised free-for-all, but a behind-the-scenes facilitation of exploration and learning.

We are an alternative to preschool as you know it.  Our  program for children ages 3-6 offers an immersive experience in nature with a play-based approach to learning. Our flexible outdoor learning environment allows for an emergent curriculum, with teachers acting as guides, noticing each child’s observations and interests.  Our curriculum is designed to focus on specific weekly single-skills related to a monthly theme that follows the seasons and rhythms of the Earth. Monthly offerings build upon one another, allowing the school community to grow and strengthen.

We are located on a beautiful acre and a half piece of land in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are rooted in Waldorf education, and inspired by Scandinavian Forest Schools. We are a fully licensed large family home child care for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.

Journeys Out Yonder

Journeys Out Yonder provides place-based adventure programs for young children. We utilize the vast outdoor landscapes to feed children’s curiosity, advance childhood play, develop self efficacy and social connections, while building strong, capable bodies.
